The Salvation Army has restructured to more efficiently serve those in need in Martinsville, Henry, and Patrick counties. Effective July 1, 2023, The Salvation Army Corps in Martinsville was reclassified as a Salvation Army Service Center for Martinsville, Patrick, and Henry Counties.

The Salvation Army will continue to provide social services at the Corps building at 603 S. Memorial Boulevard.

The Salvation Army Martinsville Service Center welcomes Tekela Redd as Service Center Director. Tekela comes to us with compassion for people and a heart to serve others and her community. She serves on a several boards in the Martinsville area and is eager to work alongside The Salvation Army to provide resources for The Salvation Army Martinsville Service Center. Her strengths vary from strategy development, problem-solving, talent acquisition, recruiting, community engagement, and business analytics. She has an MS in Health Services Administration and Public Health and a BBA in Human Services. Her ideas and desire to make this community better along with her skills and education, make her the perfect addition to our team.
